FDA and Abbott
Back in February, Abbott Laboratories, voluntarily recalled several formulas. Abbott is the largest baby formula manufacturer in the United States. Babies were getting sick with bacterial infections and 2 died. The FDA stepped in to investigate any links between the sick babies and formula. The FDA’s findings in March said that 8 times between the fall of 2019 and February 2022 there was contamination and a failure to maintain cleanliness. Abbott said last month that their own tests did not test positive. No one seems to know why the FDA and Abbott have not worked together to get the plant up and running again. The baby formula shortage needs addressed immediately. The U.S. becomes more of an embarrassment everyday.
Whistleblower
Abbott had an employee who turned whistleblower back in October months before any of this happened. The whistleblower notified the FDA. The FDA did nothing until December.

30% of formula was out of stock at the start of April. It is now at 43%. Abbott can start production in 2 weeks, but it will take 6 to 8 weeks to reach stores.

Jen Psaki had said that the FDA was working “around the clock” and the POTUS was going to get involved. The new press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre not only did not know who was running point on the formula issue, but thinks it’s funny? She laughed when asked about it.
Jen Psaki has said parents are to blame in part because of hoarding. How do you hoard something you can’t find? She also said if you are worried about your baby because it’s hungry to call your doctor.

The experts are saying that people of color (Black, Hispanic, Asian, and American Indian) and those in poverty will be hit the hardest because they will be unable to pay high prices. People who use special formulas for medical issues will also take a hit. The experts are encouraging breast feeding moms to try and use more breast milk less formula. Check with your doctor before transitioning to cow’s milk if your child is over the age of one. Experts discourage making homemade formula. What exactly are parents suppose to do? There are a lot of don’ts, but they don’t offer any do’s.
America last
Biden’s policies have once again put America last. Rep. Kat Cammack showed pictures at a detention center in Texas with pallets of baby formula. Those babies are hungry too, but they need sent back to where they came from. We have hungry American citizens that are falling behind illegals. Just one more example of what Biden’s border crisis has done to America. Isn’t our border Czar doing something about this problem? Did she ever bother to go see it for herself the extent of this crisis?
November election
