Today it’s ethanol
wesayitoutloud.com may need a new hypocrisy category. There is so much of it in the United States. It comes up frequently. Hypocrisy today. Today it’s ethanol.
Everyone knows climate change is a major issue to democrats. It is why the great POTUS stopped the Keystone pipeline. It’s why he would rather get our oil from authoritarian regimes instead of producing it here. It is why our POTUS wants to see the U.S. go into a recession. It’s why he likes our crazy high inflation and gas prices. Wait hold up. He is using some of our oil reserves to lower gas prices. Now he has another great idea. Ethanol!!
ethanol
Ethanol is an additive to gas. It is made from corn. The POTUS said yesterday that we’ve got a an abundance of corn. He went to Iowa. He could barely fill a barn with supporters. It was a huge contrast to the Trump rally’s. He went to Iowa because they are a blue state. He would have gotten boo’d out of a red one.
Ethanol is grain alcohol. Do not drink it! It is denatured. It is not fit for human consumption.
Ethanol has 30% less energy than gas per gallon. In case you didn’t get that, it’s less efficient in your gas tank. You will need to fill up more often. It may cost you a few cents less a gallon but you will need more. Not a very good deal.
now for the hypocrisy
Ethanol is restricted in summer. Why you ask? Ethanol is bad for the environment. Under the Clean Air Act it’s banned here in the summer. Are you seeing the hypocrisy now?
Biden, using the environment as an excuse, basically stops production of oil here. He is trying desperately to make nice with dictators to buy their oil. His great plan to save the day? Use ethanol, make the dems in Iowa happy, and destroy the environment.
inflation and farmers
Did the POTUS think about inflation and farming? Inflation has hit farmers hard. The cost of gas, tractors use it, is putting a pinch on farmers. Not to mention the cost of seeds, fertilizers, and weed killers. I am sure the corn farmers in Iowa will be happy.
