problems with Frontier?
Our internet was down on our site for 2 weeks. wesayitoutloud will now be up and running. I hope. Gosh, we have had a lot of problems with Frontier Communications in the past, but this is by far one of the worst. Please feel free to vent in the comments or reach out about Frontier. They are the worst! We will be changing internet soon. I am not ready to let go of what they have done in the last couple weeks just yet. Someone in that company, who is someone, will listen to my problems with Frontier. They need to know just how crappy their customer service people really are before I let go of this fiasco.
I called 2 weeks ago for a repair man. The guy told me I needed one. Also told me I may have to pay for it, which I found odd. I have never had to pay for them to come fix something. I really didn’t care, we needed it fixed. The man on the phone told me the guy would be here on Tuesday. I got angry. That was a week away. Since when does it take a week to get a repair man? Well he said he checked and didn’t have anything sooner. Sure he checked. I hung up with him and I got a confirmation text from Frontier. It wasn’t Tuesday a week, It was Tuesday in 2 weeks. Now I’m really mad. I call back. Now a girl tells me how very sorry she is, but that’s the soonest they can come.
I took to Twitter and Facebook. I let my frustration be known. What can you do? Nothing, that’s what. You wait! In 2022, it takes 2 weeks to get a repair man for internet.
On Facebook, they messaged me. Told me they were very sorry for the inconvenience. Sure they were! On Twitter, it was a little different. They messaged me. Asked me to keep it in direct message. Apparently, they would prefer the entire world not know how awful they are. Again told me they were very sorry and let them know how they could help. I needed a repair man. Don’t be nice. You can’t help. I needed a repair man. Unless you are going to send one, what else can you do for me?
Just my damn luck, the very next day I got a text saying Frontier is aware of the outage in my area and will message when it’s fixed. I didn’t think much of it, it didn’t concern me. Now there is a bunch of people like me without internet. The next day I get a message the outage in my area is fixed. If your internet is fixed text them back, fixed. If not, message keep, to keep the appointment. I messaged KEEP. The outage had nothing to do with me. I got another text telling me they would reschedule the appointment and message me. I seriously thought they meant reschedule for the same appointment I had in the first place.

Off I go to Walmart to buy a hotspot. It was not cheap. Almost $200 for the hotspot and data. We live stream everything in our home and I knew we would not be able to watch tv. I had hoped this cute little device would keep us going for the 2 weeks. I wanted my son to be able to do school using his laptop and Ipad. Me, I would use my tablet to use Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. I did manage to raise the amount of Twitter followers by putting some time into it. My son homeschools. It’s evaluation time. I can’t use my desktop to retrieve his work to send off to his evaluator. My son was upset about this, but his evaluator was very nice about it. It took a full day to activate the hotspot. That is a completely different story but was equally as frustrating.
it’s May 3rd
May 3rd arrives. My son and I are both happy anticipating the arrival of the guy who will be our new hero. I started getting a little nervous. I didn’t get the usual message asking me if I still need to keep the appointment. Hmmm, thought maybe I should call and check. A guy on the phone tells me nope, no appointment scheduled. I had a nervous breakdown. He put me through to a girl. She’s is trying to find out what happened. Oh well, there it is. You had an outage and it’s fixed. I asked if if she really thought if it was fixed that I would be calling. Now I am explaining I have every message on my phone. I have the proof that I sent them KEEP to keep my appointment. She schedules me for May 4th.
Hmmm, no text confirming the appointment. I called back asking why I didn’t get a confirming text. I have a guy on the phone. Nope, no repair man will come to your house because of an outage in your area. I told him the only outage in my area was in my house. Now we are arguing. He is telling there is nothing he can do and that I just didn’t understand. I told him he needed to listen to me and I wanted to talk to a supervisor. I was off and on on hold and talking to him for over an hour. He then told me I didn’t understand and that I can believe what I want insisting there is an outage. I had him on speaker. At that time my son kind of looked at me like he knew what was going to happen. I was now irate and I called him a condescending asshole, which he was. I wanted a supervisor.

I am still waiting for the supervisor and also, am still arguing with the guy. I was told he can see everything with his equipment and I just didn’t understand all this. Repeatedly I told him that he needs to learn to listen to his customers. I don’t care what your profession is, you always listen to your customers. I asked him if his equipment is 100% accurate. He told me it was, clearly it’s not. I asked him where he was, not his address but the state. He, in a low voice, told me Texas. I asked again. This time louder he said Texas, but I had already heard him the first time. I told him at 2000 miles away from me he surely knows exactly what is going on in my house with his fantastic 100% accurate equipment. “Now who is being the condescending asshole?” I asked him.
After an hour of this
I really thought at one point I may have a stroke. My brain was pulsating. Finally, a girl comes on the phone. She tells me she is the supervisor and sorry for the wait. She barely spoke English. Of course she was and I repeated I wanted to talk to a supervisor. Nope, she was it. I knew she wasn’t. Finally she tells me she is not allowed to give me a supervisor. Have you ever in your life heard of something so stupid? She repeatedly asked me for 2 minutes of my time because she wanted to run some kind of check to see if I was in an outage area. She kept asking for permission to do so and I kept telling her no. I was told if I was in an outage area, no repair man would come. If I wasn’t I could keep the appointment. I refused to allow her because I knew she’d say I was even if I wasn’t. Then she would have had me on tape saying I allowed this. I was 100% certain that I was not in an outage area.
I kept demanding for a supervisor. Clearly I wasn’t going to get one. I hung up and prayed that I would get a repair man.
I once again took to social media. I made a post on Facebook on Frontier’s page. It was quickly removed. Twitter was once again a little different. I made copies of those conversations also. Once again Frontier wasn’t happy about my public posts. I told them I wanted everyone to see. I started asking repeatedly for a supervisor or how to file a complaint. They out right refused to give me either. I told them I have no choice but to write a letter and send it registered to their headquarters in Conn. They went round and round asking me to let them help. Unless I get a repair man, you can’t help. Get me a supervisor or tell me the process to file a complaint was not an option for them. I once again begged them to listen to me. This outage thing was stupid.

I told them over and over there is no outage in my area. I needed a repair man. They told me I wouldn’t get one because of the outage. They send text alerts for outages and I didn’t get an alert. The last alert I got was almost 2 weeks ago and the outage was fixed. I didn’t know what to expect next. I did voice my opinion strongly on Facebook in a conversation with friends. They were very understanding because they all know how crappy Frontier is.
I get up today and nothing. I am concerned. My son was concerned. Around 11, I got a phone call from the guy. He was coming to fix our internet. It took the guy all of 5 minutes. He said I am not the only one and he knows of others who will be having the same problem. He explained the problem to me. I am not going to say what it was. I during the course of all these conversations I told them that the repair men are great. They are super nice. The problem is trying to get one. This guy was awesome.

To the condescending jerk in Texas, guess what? I was right! I needed a repair man. There is no outage in my area. You need to listen to your customers. You may think you know everything, but you do not. I feel sad for you. You will go through life thinking you know everything and miss out on a lot of good in the process.
I have everything I said on here. I have pictures of everything and will be sending it all with a letter to your headquarters in Conn. You absolutely have a right to know how rude and arrogant your employees are. Maybe you do and don’t care. I find that hard to believe. I think or hope that all CEO’s care about their customers. Without customers, you have no job. I will be switching to Xfinity.
to tie this together
Free enterprise is important to this country. Liberals don’t believe in free enterprise or capitalism. I do. If you honestly read this story you’d understand. In my area, it’s rural, there are little options. You have 2 for internet. Frontier, which everyone knows sucks. You have Xfinity, better, but costly. Obviously, you get what you pay for. For cable, I have live streamed for years now. There is one option for cable, Xfinity. Also very expensive. That’s it for cable, just 1 company. Satellite is an option, I think 2 companies. But with them, no internet. They will tell you their internet sucks.
They have us locked in. No options. If there were more companies and better service, you’d have a little competition in the area. Competition means lower prices. So all you liberals who think capitalism and free enterprise is wrong, you are to blame. I am not sure how Starlink works. Maybe it’s time to give Elon Musk’s internet a go. My sons education depends on reliable internet. I depend on reliable internet. This little blog/online paper is opinion based. Frontier needs to know in this area, it is the opinion of many, your service is terrible! You should be proud.
