Do Americans really believe inflation is caused by this war? Seriously? Come on people. Does Biden really think people are stupid enough to believe this? Or does he think everyone will forget that inflation has been going up far longer than the last 3 weeks? I don’t understand how he can suggest such a thing. I find it incredibly insulting. You should too! Harris talks to people like they are 3 years old. Biden is gaslighting.
This war will add to already crippling inflation. People voted for this, apparently, or not. At this point, I don’t even know. Thank them! Where are they? Hmmm. All of a sudden they are quiet. I don’t hear anyone saying that they think Biden is doing a great job.
I have been noticing shrinkflation. What use to feed 4 now feeds 2. Boxed items are smaller. All items are getting smaller. Instead of raising prices and having people complain, they shrink it. Equally as bad, now you buy twice as much. Now your price has doubled!
I really hope people are preparing/prepping for it to get worse. I use to watch prepper shows because I found them entertaining. Now, they are more a tutorial or a documentary. If you prep and nothing you end up not needing it, good. Use what you bought and you will have lost nothing. The other side is that you are caught unprepared, then what? I am not saying to go out and clear shelves. I am saying that maybe you should buy a few extra cans of soup this week. Put them away for a rainy day so to speak.
If something happens to the economy, suddenly. People will go and mass buy. A good example is the Covid toilet paper crisis. You may not be able to by what you need down the road. Do not think that it can’t happen. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s not looking like there’s a bright side anytime soon.
Buy a little extra every time you go shopping. Put it away, just in case. I don’t think people are listening to the people telling you to be ready. Maybe it is because I grew up in a different time. Maybe it is because my parents and grandparents lived through the depression. The people that farmed or lived in the country had it better than the city folk. Country people would hunt, fish, garden, can, and smoke their food. If you are town or city, you didn’t have that. People that had money, now had nothing. Farm people didn’t have much to start with, they were use to it. I have warned family and friends. Some know it. Some don’t understand. Some don’t believe it’s possible. Some don’t care.
