our aging infrastructure
There is much controversy around American energy. The Biden Administration wants to move us away from fossil fuels and into clean green energy. Our power comes from a large and complex network. Our power grid is old. We increasingly have more and more outages. As of right now, there are almost 322,000 people under an outage. Our aging infrastructure needs an update.
causes of outages
Many things cause us to lose out power. Storms are one of the largest reasons from power outages in the United States. Blown transformers and overloaded systems is big cause. Vehicles cause power outages and so do animals. Power is one of those things that you don’t pay attention to until you don’t have any.
the power grid
How does this work? There is a generating station that produces energy. The energy’s converted to voltage. Voltage is transmitted through wires. Voltage travels to transformers that convert it to a voltage. It’s then transmitted through wires to our homes.
There are a number of ways that a generating station make energy. Energy is produced by fossil fuels. Some power is nuclear and some is from renewables.
If you look closely at those charts, 2020 and 2021, not much has changed. The largest source of our power comes from fossil fuels. Renewables only provide about 20% of energy in 2020 and 2021. Those charts belong to the environmental protection agency. The amount of renewables has not changed. If the Biden Administration has put money into renewables the charts are not showing it. Where did the money go?
There is a debate as to whether our power grid can handle electric cars. The Biden Administration is pushing for electric cars. First of all most Americans can not afford a new $60,000 car. Americans are struggling to buy life sustaining medicines and food. If you look at the charts most energy comes from fossil fuels. Americans purchase a new electric vehicle and this vehicle plugs in to charge. Where is that vehicle getting it’s electricity from? Fossil fuels is providing the energy to charge your clean vehicle.
our fossil fuels
We were energy independent. Biden has taken that independence away. Americans are suffering because of this move. The United States regulates how we process our fossil fuels to protect the environment. The countries exporting their oil to us do not have the strict guidelines that the United States does. The fossil fuels produced here are cleaner than what we import. No matter how this administration spins clean energy, he is not making it better. He wants Americans to believe he is, but he is not.
Biden talks and the White House fixes it
It has been a pattern. Biden opens his mouth and then the White House comes out and walks his statements back. Again, who is running the United States? It is not Biden. Biden said that Americans could save $500 a month using renewable energy in their homes. Uh Oh, wait, nope that is not what he meant. The White House change that to $500 a year. Then Biden says Americans can save $80 a month by using an electric vehicle. Uh oh, wait, he left out that the cost of an electric vehicle is 52% more than the average sports car. It is twice the cost of the new smaller SUV’s. These are just 2 of the examples of the gaffes the White House has cleaned up. Joe Bama has no idea what he is saying and the White House goes around cleaning up after him.
Even Elon Musk has encouraged U.S. oil production. So many people insinuate that Musk has some involvement in the Biden Administration’s pushing for electric vehicles. He come out and said that we need to produce more oil here. That is the far cry from him scheming to make more money. He already has more than anyone could ever want. We do need more oil. We need it produced here. Biden refuses to admit he made a grave error and it is at the expense of all Americans.
It is mind blowing that there is still %20 of Americans that still support this crazy policy. Oh wait, the %20 are probably like the women on the view. You know the ones who don’t have to worry about how to feed their children. The only people who do not worry about these issues are the ones who don’t worry about money. Those people who don’t have bills because they live off their parents or the system don’t worry about inflation. Hard working Americans are the ones suffering. Everyone should be calling their representatives and push them to do something about this oil situation. Inflation will not lower until they do.
what makes sense
We are not an electrical engineer. We don’t know what our power grid has the capability of handling. It makes sense that if for example Texas asks it residents to conserve energy during a heat wave, the grid can’t handle more cars charging.
